Our little Florida Vacation

So I can't find any of the beach shots or shots that i took while in my bathing suit.... Probably a good thing since I am a very big pregnant person! Or so I feel. I actually am not that big but I am sure feeling the weigh of this one.... Enough of my complaining. Lee wanted to take our first family vacation to Pensacola Beach, Florida! I was so excited. I longed for the beach and I have not experienced the Ocean in Florida before. Yup, it was beautiful and much cleaner than my freezing southern California Ocean. Bentlee did not enjoy the sand so most of out time was spent relaxing at the hotel pool and lounging around the hotel room. Lee and I were in need of a much needed vacation after Living in New Orleans. We spent 3 wonderful night and 4 days at our resort. Pensacola is a super small beach town so the whole time we were very relaxed!

We found this little town car (behind Lee and Bentlee) that was decorated orange and had Texas Longhorns all over it!

Bentlee was in Heaven the entire trip! He was surrounded by water and was free to do what he wanted. He loved the the play fountains and eagerly played in the pool by himself or with us!

This vacation helped us make the decision to leave New Orleans early! Lee went to Kansas to continue to work and sell Alarm systems. I packed the house and drove home with bentlee. Yes, I made the 30 hour trip being 6 1/2 months pregnant! I was blessed because my siser Camrie flew to Houston and made the rest of the drive with me. She was amazing! We made it home in 3 days. We stopped every couple hours and Bentlee only had one or two breakdowns. He must have cross country traveling in his blood :)

We have moved on! WHO DAT!

So We have moved on from the great state of Louisiana... Good-bye to NOLA! I highly suggest that if you visit this state that you make sure so stay out of New Orleans and go and visit the Alligator farms or take a ride on the air-boats! You can go and see "da big alligators..." (Louisiana Bayou accent :) I had to add that last part for my sister Camrie who loves the show "Swamp People." It was filmed in one of the many small and backward towns of Louisiana. Well, Our summer adventure did not turn out as planned, but we made it through and grew in many different ways. Bentlee hit so many of his milestones this summer and continued to surprise us with his new acquired skills every single day! We missed our family and friends so much and were so grateful that we made it though happy and successful. More to come...

Update on our Mr. Bentlee

Man, Life has moved really fast for our little family. Bentlee is walking everywhere....well actually he is trying to run everywhere. The faster and farther he can get away from his mom!!! LOL. I am gonna have to buy him a little monkey harness to keep him from running away. I take him outside a few times a day and he just takes off down the street. He is fascinated with dried up gum on the sidewalk and can find a rock anywhere he goes. Similar to finding a "needle in a haystack." This is how well he finds rocks :) He is such a boy!!! Oh and if he finds a stick, that can keep him busy for a good 20 minutes! We seriously just laugh at this kid all day. His constant fascination with life reminds us how the little things in life really matter and make a huge difference in our lives. New Orleans has been great and we are very much ready to go home!

Bentlee loves some Chucky Cheese!

So I decided to start taking Bentlee to Chuck E. Cheese. Its so freaking hot here so we can only do things outside early in the morning or late at night.... So in Between we go to Chuck e cheese so B-man can run around and act like his crazy self!

Him and his friend Sincere... Sincere is just a few months younger than Bentlee and they loved going to chuck E. cheese!
